Bacardi Latino Festival 2003 @ Darling Harbour

Bacardi, Latin Music by the water and Hot Summer nights…..Close your eyes and you would have thought you had been transported to somewhere in South America or the Caribbean…Open your eyes and you would think you just woke up from a dream and realise it was all happening right here in Sydney!

The Bacardi Latino Festival held as usual in Sydney’s Darling Harbour (Jan 9th to Jan 19th) was a magical Latino Fiesta from start to finish, it was amazing to see the crowd’s response and all the diverse cultures gathered together as one in one beautiful place! It’s times like these that make you forget all your troubles and make things like war and violence non-existent ..as Elcy from La Voz Latina said: “just party, have fun and all your problems are gone!”

Every night from day one the place was absolutely packed, the Aquashell hosted some of Australia’s top Latino acts and some International guests like the Planeros de la 21 from Puerto Rico or the Afro-Caribbean rhythms of Pleña Libre and the Afro-Cuban band La Pasion from New York …After these acts concluded the party kept going at multiple venues with huge After-Parties, the night was filled with the rhythms of Colombian, Cuban and Puerto Rican Salsa hosted by some of Australia’s top Latino DJs including our very own RickyRO!

Now it’s all over until later this year, but don’t let this disappoint you as the parties keep going every weekend at Sydney’s array of Latino Clubs and specially the Long Weekend coming up with The Latin Voice Re-Launch party @ BJ’s Night Club…

So come on and let’s continue partying the way it should always be!….Latino style!
