Sonora Carruseles is coming Downunder in
2007, In the lead to this great event, The
Latin Voice is committed to bring you the
latest news and updates of what's probably
the Wolrd's most famous Salsa band. The
Latin Voice recently caught up with Harold,
lead vocalist of Sonora Carruseles and this
is what he had to say...
Time with Sonora
Carruseles
I have been with Sonora
Carruseles approximately 7 years, during
which time I have had the opportunity to get
to know many beautiful people.
1.
What or who inspired you
to become part of perhaps one of the most
important Bands in the world?
There are things in life which happen
without you even realising, until you
realize that God is behind the good things
that happen and along your journey you must
first of all thank him for helping you in
the hard times and secondly you must thank
all the people that he put along the way so
your dreams would become a reality
To
thank every person who have helped directly
or indirectly in all the circumstances of
your life is thanking God himself.
Music has always been the driving force
which has given a special touch to my
lifestyle; it’s like if someone took it away
from my soul from there on my soul would not
be the same.

2. Of the big repertoire
of La Sanora Carruseles which is your
favourite song?
Well that’s a hard one to answer, but in the
production titled... “Somos los duros de la
Salsa”... not because we say it but for
being a phrase that the public constantly
repeats during our presentations, there is a
song which gathers a lot of the essence of
what Sonora Carruseles is all about called
“Tres Tambores” (3 Drums), it’s a song that
from the minute I recorded it, it stayed
with me, but of course that there are more
of my favourites in our repertoire.
3. Which has been the most memorable moment
in your Artistic Career?
All
of that which fills your Soul, automatically
becomes a memorable moment,
That’s why when somebody approaches me and
thanks me alter a concert for what we do,
for bring fun tom their lives, for helping
them forget, that…really moves my heart!
When you feel that someone is happy and you
fill their soul because of what you do…that
becomes something memorable!
4.
Who do you think is the most influential
person or Group of the Latino World?
Well, that’s something a bit complicated for
me to respond to because really there are
many Latino personalities who have an
important role in the entertainment world,
and all of them should be aware of the role
they play and the contribution they make and
although some may say this one did more or
that one did less, really it’s team work.
Each one of them is putting in their grain
of sand with things that are very valuable
to expand even more our culture around the
world.
5. Do you have a message for all the Latinos
and Latin lovers in Australia?
Of
course!...for all of our Latino brothers and
people who love and appreciate our Culture,
I want to manifest that our Latino heritage
is each day acquiring a very valuable
recognition, that each one of us represent
to God and to the whole world a seed of hope
and no matter how far away we might be, it
will grow without limits to make of our
future a closer vision of human livelihood
based on respect.
For
all of you a very sincere and warm hug and
that very soon we will be reunited
throughout Music in that beautiful continent
to bring you the very best of our Music and
happiness...and from you we hope for all the
energy from your hearts to form the perfect
combination!

Harold:
I was born in Soledad
a small town close to Barranquilla
“Shakira’s Hometown in Colombia on the 1st
of December 1968. At a very early age my
parents took me to the beautiful city where
I spent (and still spend) the majority of my
life; it was there where I initiated my
musical career and finished all my studies
in Social Communication.
Soledad is the land of
Cumbia and Merecumbé, a rhythm created by
Pacho Galán, furthermore across the
Colombiano Caribbean we have absorbed a
great part of the musical legacy which has
been transmitted our Latino brothers
throughout the world.

Como ya sabemos, La
Sonora Carruseles viene a Australia en el
2007, mientras esperamos este gran evento,
The Latin Voice esta comprometido a traerles
las ultimas noticias e informacion de tal
vez la banda Salsera mas famosa del mundo.

Harold, vocalista de La Sonora Carruseles y
esto es lo que dijo...
Tiempo con La Sonora
Carruseles
Con la banda llevo
aproximadamente unos 7 años, durante los
cuales he tenido la oportunidad de conocerme
con mucha gente linda.

1. Que o quien te
inspiro a ser parte de quizás una de las
bandas más importantes del mundo?
Hay
cosas que ocurren en la vida sin uno darse
cuenta de lo que realmente sucede, hasta que
te enteras que Dios es el causal de todo eso
bueno que te pasa, y en el camino debes
agradecer en primer lugar a El en medio de
tu intimidad y en segundo lugar a todas las
personas que puso en medio de tu andar para
que sus propósitos se hicieran realidad en
ti.
Darle gracias a todas las personas que te
han servido directa e indirectamente en
todas las circunstancias de tu vida es
dárselas a Dios mismo, y cuando lo haces, en
el cielo el siempre te escuchara.
La
música ha sido desde siempre el motor que ha
dado un toque especial a mi estilo de vida.
Es como aquello que si te lo quitan del alma
tu vida a partir de allí ya no será la
misma.

Del repertorio de La Sonora Carruseles cual
es tu canción predilecta?
Bueno, eso es difícil saberlo, pero en esta
producción titulada... “ Somos los duros de
la Salsa ”...,pero no por que lo digamos
nosotros si no por ser una frase que el
publico repite constantemente durante
nuestras presentaciones, hay un tema que
reúne mucho de lo que en esencia es La
Sonora Carruseles y se titula Tres Tambores,
es una canción que desde el momento que la
grabe me llegó, pero claro que de la Sonora
en realidad son muchas las preferidas.
3.
Cual ha sido el momento más memorable de tu
carrera artística?
Todo aquello que te llena el alma se
convierte automáticamente en un momento
memorable, por eso cuando siento que alguien
se me acerca y me da las gracias en los
conciertos por lo que hacemos,por alegrarles
su vida ,por ayudarles a olvidar ,eso
realmente me hincha el corazón.
Cuando sientes que alguien se colma de
felicidad por lo que haces y llenas su alma,
eso se convierte en algo memorable.
4. Quien crees que sea la persona o grupo
más influyente del mundo artístico Latino?
Bueno, eso es algo un poco complicados para
responder para mí, por que realmente son
muchos los personajes latinos que tienen
influencia importante en el mundo del
espectáculo, y todos ellos deberían tener
reconocimiento por su labor por que ese es
nuestro deber y aunque algunos dicen este
hizo mas o aquel menos, en realidad es un
trabajo de equipo.
Cada uno de ellos esta aportando su granito
de arena con cosas que son valiosísimas para
difundir mas nuestra cultura en el mundo
entero.
5.
Tienes algún mensaje paro los Latinos en
Australia?
Pero por supuesto...para todos esos hermanos
latinos, les quiero manifestar que nuestra
raza cada día esta adquiriendo un
reconocimiento de incalculable valor ,que
cada uno de ellos representa para Dios y
para el mundo una semilla de esperanza ,que
sin importar cuan lejos nos encontremos
,germinara sin contratiempo para hacer de
nuestro futuro una visión cercana de una
convivencia humana basada en el respeto.
Para todos ellos un abrazo bien sincero y
que pronto estaremos reunidos a través de la
música en ese precioso continente para
brindarles todo lo mejor de nuestra música
y alegría, y de ustedes esperamos toda la
energía de sus corazones para formar así la
combinación perfecta.
Más acerca de
Harold...
Nací en Soledad, un
primero de diciembre de 1968,un pequeño
pueblo muy cercano a la ciudad de
Barranquilla en el Departamento del
Atlántico, en pleno Caribe Colombiano.
Barranquilla es la tierra de la popular
cantante Shakira y desde muy temprana edad
mis padres me llevaron a esa hermosa ciudad
en donde transcurrió y sigue transcurriendo
gran parte de mi vida allí inicie mi carrera
musical y termine mis estudios profesionales
de Comunicación Social.
Soledad es la tierra de
la cumbia y el Merecumbé, un ritmo creado
por un criollo muy de nombre Pacho Galán,
además, en todo el caribe Colombiano se
recibió gran parte de todo el legado musical
que nos han transmitido nuestros hermanos
latinos del mundo entero.
