Downunder tour is getting closer, In the lead to this great event, The
Latin Voice is committed to bring you the
latest news and updates of what's probably
the World's most famous Salsa band. The
Latin Voice has recently caught up with
Marinho Paz,
vocalist and composer of Sonora Carruseles and this
is what he had to say...
Time with Sonora
Carruseles
Since founded back in 1995
1.
What or who inspired you
to become part of perhaps one of the most
important Bands in the world?
What inspires me to be part of this band is
my love and passion for Salsa.
2. Of the big repertoire
of La Sanora Carruseles which is your
favourite song?
My
favourite song has to be Mosaico Boogaloo
composed of
“Mambo Batiri”, “Me gusta Boogaloo” and
“Regalo para Ti”
3. Which has been the most memorable moment
in your Artistic Career?
Well, there have been many memorable moments
in my time with Carruseles but one of the
most memorable is when we recorded "El
Bailarin de la Avenida". (The dancer of
the Avenue) a song which I dedicated to
my brother when he passed away.
4.
Who do you think is the most influential
person or Group of the Latino World?
Well, for me the most influential
people have been:
Ismael Rivera, Oscar D’Leòn y Andy Montañéz;
and in regards to groups: "El Gran Combo de
Puerto Rico" because they don't change their
Salsa style.
5. Do you have a message for all the Latinos
and Latin lovers in Australia?
To
keep listening to your Latin music no matter
what Genre. And to all the Salseros in
Australia to keep dancing to Sonora
Carrueseles , the Salsa from Colombia to the
world!

Desde
su fundación (desde que se creo la Orquesta
en 1995)
1. Que o quien te
inspiro a ser parte de quizás una de las
bandas más importantes del mundo?
Lo que me inspira a hacer parte de esta
Orquesta, es mi gusto hacia la salsa
2.
Del repertorio de La Sonora Carruseles cual
es tu canción predilecta?
Mi
tema preferido dentro del repertorio de la
Sonora Carruseles, es “Mosaico Boogaloo”,
que contiene: “Mambo Batiri”, “Me gusta
Boogaloo” y “Regalo para Ti”.

Cual ha sido el momento más memorable de tu
carrera artística?

Momentos memorables en mi carrera
artística ha habido varios (muchos), uno
de ellos cuando grabe el tema “El
Bailarín de la Avenida”, con la Sonora
Carruseles. Canción que le hice a mi
hermano cuando falleció.

4. Quien crees que sea la persona o grupo
más influyente del mundo artístico Latino?
Cantantes de salsa influyentes para mi, han
sido: Ismael Rivera, Oscar D’Leòn y Andy
Montañez. Y encunado a grupos “el Gran Combo
de Puerto Rico”, que no cambia su estilo
salsero
5.
Tienes algún mensaje paro los Latinos en
Australia?
Un
mensaje para los Latinos en Australia, es,
que sigan escuchando su música Latina, sea
cual fuere. Y todos los salseros en
Australia, que sigan escuchando a la Sonora
Carruseles, salsa de Colombia para el mundo.
